I completed
my Masters Project on Personal Construct Theory, based on the works of George Kelly. I received my Masters Degree in Social Work
in 1994, and started working for a community mental health center on Long Island. I learned a great deal from the
clinical supervisors, psychiatrists, and director there. After five
years of providing individual, family and group treatment, I started
working at a child, adolescent and family center, where I provided
cognitive-behavioral treatment to a diverse population, in western
Suffolk County. I started a private practice in 1998, and incorporated
it with Commack Consultation Center in 2001. Also, in 2001, I started
working in Brooklyn at Safe Horizon Counseling, a trauma-focused center,
working as a senior social worker. There, I supervised therapy interns,
and provided psychotherapy to children and adults. Presently I am
clinical supervisor at New Horizon Counseling Center, in South Ozone Park, Queens.
Currently I accept most HMO's and third party reimbursement plans.
